Galata Wind generates 100% renewable energy with Gold Standard and VCS certified wind and solar power plants all over Turkey. It designs solar energy systems for the roofs of houses, schools, workplaces, gas stations and manufacturing plants to generate their own energy.
Galata Wind Enerji A.Ş., which has been operating as a Doğan Holding affiliate since June 2012, generates 100% renewable, environmentally-conscious electricity, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 400,000 tons per year. The company was established under the name of GY Enerji Danışmanlık Proje Mühendislik Üretim, Ticaret ve Sanayi Limited Şirketi (GY Energy Consultancy Project Engineering Production, Trade and Industry Limited Company).
The company was acquired by the Doğan Group and its name was changed to Galata Wind Enerji Anonim Şirketi (Galata Wind Energy Inc.).

With the acquisition of Şah WPP and Mersin WPP, renewable energy generation activities were started within Doğan Holding.
21 MW of extension capacity was added to the Mersin WPP on December 20, 2017.
Çorum SPP was acquired on March 15, 2018 and the SPV was merged with Galata Wind on June 7, 2018.
Erzurum SPP was acquired on March 3, 2019 and the SPV was merged with Galata Wind on December 31, 2019.
The construction of the span class="grey-mixed-bold">Taşpınar WPP started.

The Taşpınar WPP began generation after the partial takeover on October 28, 2020 (provisional acceptance date).
The Taşpınar WPP began production generation at full capacity.
