Galata Wind has published its second sustainability report, in which it has also observed the principles of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) adopted by the European Commission and the Turkish Sustainability Reporting Standards (TSRS). With this report, the Company has presented its reporting capabilities to its stakeholders much earlier than expected, in compliance with all globally accepted reporting standards applicable in its sector and region of operation.
The 2023 Sustainability Report published by Galata Wind, an energy company committed to generating renewable energy only from wind and solar energy with the aim of contributing to a sustainable future, offers the most transparent access to the company's non-financial performance areas. Published under the title “Leading the Way in a Renewable Future - Harvesting Wind and Sun for a Sustainable Future”, the Report covers the company's transformative achievements as well as all developments in the company's social, environmental and managerial processes in 2023.

The 2023 Sustainability Report provides detailed information about Galata Wind's generation processes, while also describing in detail the programs and related strategies regarding sustainable solutions in topics such as the working environment, ethical processes, supply chain. Within the scope of the report, Galata Wind, which increased its portfolio power by 8% in 2023 by adding 21.2 MW to its renewable energy capacity, demonstrates its commitment to combating climate change by reducing approximately 410,000 tons of CO2 emissions in the same year.
Galata Wind also underlined its significant achievements and investments in its report. The company's total installed capacity reached 290.2 MW by the end of 2023, while 21.2 MW of additional capacity was commissioned with the Taşpınar WPP and Hybrid SPP projects. Total revenues amounted to TL 1,859,032,808 and investments reached TL 1,316,311,560. Carbon footprint (Scope 1-2-3) was calculated as 1,125.7 tons and environmental investments reached TL 1,316,011,560. Four new projects were launched with a budget of TL 6,258,416 allocated to digital projects. The corporate governance compliance score was determined as 9.52, and four compliance meetings were held in this context. Community engagement investments reached TL 14,461,357 and employees received a total of 2,777 hours of training.
The report also includes the Standard & Poor's ESG assessment result of 67/100. The ESG assessment by S&P Global Ratings resulted in a +3 proficiency score in addition to a total of 64 base scores in different profile headings. The company also ranked first in its sector in Turkey with a low ESG risk score of 14.9 and a Strong ESG Management score of 55.6 in the ESG assessment conducted by SustainAnalytics.
Target; 1000MW in 2030
In line with Galata Wind's growth strategy and 2025 targets, construction activities continue at two of its sites. The company, which has already reached 297.2 MW with the commissioning of the first phase of Taşpınar WPP and Hybrid SPP, plans to increase its installed capacity to over 350 MW by the end of 2024 with the additional capacity increase to be realized with 6 new turbines at Mersin WPP and the commissioning of Taşpınar Hybrid SPP phase 2. In addition to all these, the company continues its efforts to reach 1000 MW in 2030 with the European investments initiated with the Galata Wind Energy Global company established abroad.
